Lord Huron has a new album out, called Vide Noir. Its opulent, mystical atmospheres are the perfect backdrop for singer Ben Schneider’s mournful, melancholy melodies. The album feels intimate, and its lyricism is consistent in its heartache, like a concept record that revolves around the girl who got away.

After the acoustic twang and pile-o’choirboys harmonies of the band’s previous EPs, Lonesome Dreams finds Lord Huron honed their craft to a more refined sound.
